Manchester City took on Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday as Sergio Aguero starred in haggard victory for the Sky Blues.
On a day when a whole host of City stars looked somewhat off colour, Aguero was the spark for the Sky Blues as he opened the scoring in style. Having made a sublime touch and leaving his markers for dead, the striker sprinted onto the loose ball before firing between the goalkeeper’s legs from close range.
With the scores level at 1-1, Aguero was on hand again as he put his side back in control with a classy dinked penalty that left Lukasz Fabianski no chance.
According to SoccerClub’s Opta-powered match stats, Aguero managed 50 touches of the ball in his 90 minutes on the field. The striker managed to fire off four shots in the contest, including the two strikes with which he found the back of the net.
Aguero also managed to complete 27 of his 29 passes while his clever movement and running helped create space for his attacking teammates, particularly towards the end of the contest.
