Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding transfer to Arsenal is set to be completed within the next few days.
The 20-year-old was left out of the Bolton line-up for their friendly match against Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday.
Bournemouth had been reported to have been interested in Holding but it now looks likely that the player will move to Arsenal, according to SkySports.
Holding has been with Bolton since the tender age of seven and went on to make his senior debut in his side’s Capital One Cup clash against Burton Albion in August last season.
The defender has made 30 appearances last season and was named the club’s player of the year in a campaign which ended in his side being relegation to League One.
Holding was called up to Gareth Southgate’s England U21 squad at the end of the 2015-16 season and was part of the successful side at the Toulon Tournament in France.
Arsenal have already signed Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach and Takuma Asano from Sanfrecce Hiroshima during the transfer window, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
