Arsenal have completed the signing of 20-year-old defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers.
The player will join the Gunners on a long-term deal from the Trotters having turned out some impressive displays for the Championship side last term.
The player went on to win the club’s player of the season award also impressed for England’s U21’s at the Toulon Tournament, which the side won. The fee paid by the Gunners is as of yet undisclosed.
‘It’s something you dream of as a kit – I can’t wait to get started,’ the centre back told Arsenal’s website.
Meanwhile, the club has praised the player’s ability to cover in a variety of positions.
‘Rob is a versatile player, comfortable at both centre back and full back, and we look forward to him joining up with the squad. His transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes,’ the club announced.
Holding featured in 30 matches for Bolton in all competitions last season, scoring once.
