Manchester United defender Eric Bailly says he is raring to play against Zorya Luhansk at Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday.
The 22-year-old has made a fine start to his Reds Devils career under manager Jose Mourinho and he is expected to start against the Ukrainian side.
Having watched United play in the Champions League, Bailly says he is relishing the chance to represent them in the Europa League following their 1-0 defeat against Feyenoord in the opening match.
‘This is a bit different with it being the Europa League but for sure we’ll give our best to bring another win to our fans. I’m really excited and looking forward to playing this game on Thursday,’ Bailly told the Manchester United website.
‘There are no weak teams in this competition, everyone has quality. If you look at the last game we played against Feyenoord that showed us that we need to pay careful attention to all the different teams. ‘
The former Villarreal defender insists that United have to focus on their next match against Zorya Luhansk and he believes that if the team works hard, they can overcome their next opponents.
‘If we keep working hard as a team and keep our spirit going I hope we can achieve the same or go even better and bring the trophy home,’ he added.
‘The first thing we need to do though is think step-by-step and take each game as it comes. We need to focus on the next game and then we’ll see what happens in the future.’
Kick-off has been set for 21:05.
