Real Madrid have announced that forward Gareth Bale has signed a new contract keeping him at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until 2022.
The 27-year-old joined Madrid from Tottenham Hotspurs back in 2013 for a then world-record fee of £85.3-million after signing a six-year contract.
The Wales international has already won two Champions League trophies, a Copa del Rey title, Fifa Club World Cup and a Uefa Super Cup trophy with Real. He has also scored 62 goals in 135 appearances for the Spanish giants in all competitions.
Bale is the latest player in a series of Real stars to agree to contract extensions in recent weeks, joining the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Lucas Vazquez.
