Gareth Bale scored  his first goal for Wales in their Euro 2016 campaign with a superb free-kick against Slovakia in Group B.

According to SASoccermag.co.za’s Opta-powered match centre, the Real Madrid forward gave the Wales national team the lead in the early stages of the match, putting in a great performance to secure all three points.

The influence of Bale in the Wales team will prove to be motivation for their chances of advancing in the Euro 2016 campaign, making 44 touches on the ball, while completing 16 out of 26 passes, making his presence know.

Every football fan in Europe knows Wales put there faith in Real Madrid’s £85 million forward. So it came as no surprise when it was Bale who scored the opening goal for Wales.

Bale has scored 20 goals in 56 appearances for his country and won the Champions League twice since leaving White Hart Lane to join Madrid in 2013.

Wales will be hoping the former Spurs winger’s opening goals will give him the confidence to continue scoring goals and extend their stay beyond the group stages at their first major international tournament in 58 years.
