Belgium star Michy Batshuayi has reportedly passed a medical in Bordeaux ahead of his imminent move to Chelsea.
The 22-year-old star is currently with the Belgian national team in France as part of the side’s squad for Euro 2016. The striker has been linked with a host of clubs in Europe after catching the eye with 17 goals for Marseille in Ligue 1 last term.
Having been granted special dispensation to take leave from the Belgium camp, the player met with Chelsea’s team doctor paving the way for his £33-million move, reports SkySports.
It is expected the deal for the star will be wrapped up by the weekend with Marseille under serious financial pressure which has sped up the sale, as Chelsea beat off interest from the likes of West Ham United and Crystal Palace for his signature.
The deal will make the young Belgian Antonio Conte’s first signing as Chelsea manager, with the club eager to bounce back following a disastrous 2015-16 season.
