Arsenal have confirmed that Spain right back Hector Bellerin has pledged his loyalty to the club by signing a new long-term contract.
The 21-year-old has developed into one of the Premier League’s most outstanding fullbacks since breaking into the Gunners first team during the 2014-15 season.
He established his place in the Gunners back four by making 44 appearances, and creating nine goals in all competitions last season.
The former Barcelona youth player’s exploits during the 2015-16 season earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year and a call-up to the Spain national team for Euro 2016.
Over the course of his career, Bellerin has scored eight goals and assisted a further 16 from 130 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Arsenal and Watford.
