Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Belgium striker Christian Benteke from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract.

The 25-year-old now becomes the Eagles’ fourth signing after they completed the signings of Andros Townsend, James Tomkins, and Steve Mandanda, reports the Crystal Palace website.

After signing for Palace, Benteke insists he is looking forward to starting his future with his new club, manager, and teammates, and he says he is delighted to have committed his future to the club.

‘I’m very happy to commit my future to Crystal Palace and I’m looking forward to meeting the manager, the players, and the staff,’ Benteke said.

‘I feel really happy that the deal has been done and now I can look forward.’

The Belgium international has scored 51 times in the Premier League over the past four seasons after joining Aston Villa from Belgian club Genk in 2012.

After three impressive campaigns with the Villans, he made a £32.5-million move to Liverpool last season where he scored 10 times for the Reds.

A former Belgian First Division winner with Standard Liege in 2009, Benteke has netted six times in 26 appearances for his country and represented them at Euro 2016 during the summer.
