Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat admitted that he hasn’t been happy with his form at Naturena since making the switch from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Zimbabwean forward made the switch from Chloorkop to the Soweto giants on a free transfer in June 2018.

Much was expected of Billiat, and despite finishing the season as Chiefs’ top goal-scorer with 14 goals across all competitions, he believes that he can offer the side a lot more in the new season

‘I have never been happy with my form… I always believe there’s more to offer from my side,’ Billiat told the Daily Sun.

He may have been the club’s top goal-getter, but Amakhosi endured a painful season where they failed to finish in the top eight for the first time since 2012.

Billiat, who is one of Zimbabwe’s most lethal weapons, admitted that he has a better understanding with his international teammates than those at Chiefs.

‘We’ve got a different philosophy. We play differently and we understand each other better. Zimbabwe is where I come from, and language plays a big role,’ the 28-year-old said.

‘It doesn’t matter whether we won the league last season or you finished last, when you play this game and play for your country, there’s always a better understanding as players,’ he concluded.

Billiat will be leading the line for Zimbabwe in Group A at the Africa Cup of Nations, where they will begin their campaign against Egypt in Cairo, before meeting Uganda and DR Congo as they look to reach the knockout stages.
