Bournemouth have completed the signing of Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe for £15-million fee.
The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Vitality Stadium to become the Cherries fifth summer signing.
The England U21 made 41 appearances for the Reds in all competitions last season, including six games in the Europa League as Jurgen Klopp’s side made it to the final,’ reports the Bournemouth website.
The Cherries chief executive Neill Blake is relishing the chance to see Ibe grow as a player at the Vitality Stadium.
‘We’re delighted to bring Jordon to the football club,’ said Blake.
‘He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect.’
Blake went on to say that his new signings have the potential to keep the Cherries in the Premier League for the long term.
‘We’ve now signed five players this summer, all of whom have an abundance of potential,’ he added.
‘It shows that we’re serious about nurturing talent at this football club and we have the long term in mind when we say we want to stay in the Premier League.’
Ibe has flown out straight to Chicago to meet his new teammates to begin his pre-season at his new club.
