Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is confident he will keep on scoring goals after his brace boosted United’s return to winning ways on Sunday.
The Red Devils returned claimed a 3-1 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League with goals by Ibrahimovic and record-signing Paul Pogba.
The Swedish striker is confident he will now be on a scoring streak after netting his first goals since September.
‘After 15 years on a professional level, I’ve scored a lot of goals and I’ll keep scoring. I know how it works. As long as you still create your chances, you are still in the zone, the goals will come, so I’m not worried about that,’ Ibrahimovic told the Manchester United website.
‘The most important thing is that the team wins, the team gives the right confidence, and the collective works, then the individual comes because that is what comes at the end.’
Ibrahimovic is not dwelling on his incredible record of 400 club goals, and insists his focus is on working hard and doing well for United.
‘It’s a nice record, but it’s not something I think about now,’ he said.
‘I just stay focused and try to score as much as possible. As long as I’m playing, I keep working hard. I have as many goals that some players don’t have games, so I’m happy.’
After their international break, Manchester United will prepare to take on Arsenal at Old Trafford on 19 November.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 14:30.
