Robbie Brady netted the decisive goal against Italy that saw the Green Army advance into the Round of 16 at Euro 2016.

With the Republic of Ireland advanced into the Last 16after Norwich City winger Robbie Brady’s 85th minute lifeline.

The 24-year-old was in fine form in attack for Ireland, earning him the Man of the Match award, while completing 60 touches on the ball and winning five out of 10 duels in the midfield.

According to SASoccermag’s Opta-powered match stats, the winger won 100% of his tackles against the Italian attackers, while winning two fouls and conceding two.

In attack Brady produced two shots at goal; one from outside the box and one from inside the box, the very shot that led to him opening the scoring for Ireland. The former Hull City winger created a total of three chances in attack, while successfully completing one out of six crosses.

Brady managed to complete a total of 34 out of 41 passes, with 41.5% coming from the right and 31.7% coming from down the centre during his 90 minutes on the field.

Although, the Republic of Ireland won the match, Italy controlled the match and had the best possession (51.8%), while the Irish side could only managed 48.2% of possession.

The result also means Wales will face Northern Ireland in Paris on Monday, while Belgium, who beat Sweden 1-0 to finish runners-up in Group E, take on Hungary.
