Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo jetted off to England on Tuesday to undergo a medical ahead of his £17-million Machester City switch.
The 33-year-old Bravo is believed to be on the verge of signing a three-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens in a move that is likely to spell the end for England goalkeeper Joe Hart at the club, reports the Mirror.
There, Bravo will reportedly sign a £100,000-a-week with the club, who are eager to acquire the Chilean on account of his excellent ability with his feet.
Bravo will reportedly touchdown in Bristol around 15:00 local time where he will be met by Manchester City officials.
Though all the facets of the deal are already in place, it is believed Barcelona will not formally sanction the deal until Thursday – when the side can themselves secure the signing of replacement goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen from Ajax.
Ajax in turn are believed to be keen on keeping Cillessen until after the completion of their Champions League qualifier against Rostov.
Bravo is likely to make his debut for City when the club faces West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Kick-off is at 17:00.
