Manchester United were left frustrated after playing out to a goalless draw with Burnley in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils controlled the opening exchanges, but frustration reigned when Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Juan Mata were both denied by Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
The Clarets had to wait until the 35th minute for their first opportunity at goal when Michael Keane headed just wide of the post from a corner, before Johann Gudmundsson forced Heaton into making a good save from 20 yards out.
The English shot-stopper made a difference as he produced a fine save to keep out Jesse Lingard’s header just before the break.
The Red Devils entered the second half without manager Jose Mourinho, who was reportedly sent to the stands by the referee.
The home side was then reduced to 10 men when Ander Herrera was shown his second yellow card in the 68th minute.
United responded with a double change by introducing Marouane Fellaini and Wayne Rooney for Mata and Lingard.
Ibrahimovic had the chance to score the decisive goal in the 90th minute, but the Swedish striker failed to convert his chance from six yards out and the score remained level at 0-0 until the final whistle.
