Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has signed a new contract with the club that will see him stay at the club until 2021.
The 28-year-old has the option to further renew his contract until 2023, depending on how many games he played, according to the Barcelona website.
Busquets has racked up 390 appearances with the first team, scoring 12 goals since debuting under then manager Pep Guardiola during the 2008-09 season.
His progression since then has been incredible, helping Barca to multiple trophies, and the Spanish national team, with whom he has won two European Championships and a World Cup.
He has won already won three Champions League, six La Liga titles, four Spanish cups, three Club World Cups, three European Super Cups and five Spanish Super Cups.
In his ninth season now with the club, he is looking to continue helping the club towards more honours.
