Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has joined Primeira Liga side Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old scored four times in 30 first-team appearances last season, having joined the club back in 2011.
Campbell previously spent time on loan at Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos and Villarreal and will spend the remainder of the campaign with the Primeira Liga side.
The forward will be hoping he can help the Portuguese side win the Primeira after their second-placed finish last year and gain further Champions League experience, reports the Arsenal website.
The move is subject to international clearance and formal ratification.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been criticised for failing to buy a senior forward during the transfer window, instead bringing in Takuma Asano, Granit Xhaka, and Rob Holding.
The Gunners will now take on Watford in search of their first Premier League victory when the two side’s meet at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 16:00.
