Emre Can is at risk of missing a second successive Premier League match with a knee injury but Liverpool hope to have Dejan Lovren available for Wednesday’s trip to Middlesbrough.
Liverpool are on a three-match winless run and are already without the influential Philippe Coutinho for the trip to the Riverside.
Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp is unsure whether German international midfielder Can will be available after picking up a knock in training.
‘Emre was a challenge with Divock [Origi] in training, knee on knee,’ Klopp told liverpoolfc.com.
‘He’s in doubt for Wednesday, but I think Everton he will be back for sure. It would be cool if he could train, we will see.’
Centre back Dejan Lovren, who was substituted at half-time against West Ham United, is expected to return for the clash.
‘Hopefully [he’ll be ok], I don’t know more in this moment,’ revealed Klopp.
‘It was cramp. He told me he wanted to play and I told him I want to play too!’
The match kicks off at 21:45.
