Long-serving Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas appears to have ended his international career after Spain’s elimination from Euro 2016.
The former Real Madrid number one did not feature in France as coach Vincente Del Bosque preferred David De Gea as his number one.
Casillas, a two-time European Championship and World Cup winner, thanked fans after #GraciasCasillas trended following Italy’s 2-0 win over Spain.
‘A pride felt the affection of the people in #GraciasCasillas today and always all with Spain,’ wrote the legendary goalkeeper on Twitter before posting a video of Rambo in signing off for the Spanish national team.
Casillas made 167 appearances for Spain since joining the side at the age of 19.
