Chelsea have agreed a fee of around £32-million for French midfielder N’Golo Kante from Leicester City.
The France international opted to join Antonio Conte’s side instead of accepting the Foxes an improved four-year deal with the Premier League champions.
It is thought the midfielder will have a medical over the weekend, before meeting up with Chelsea on their pre-season training camp in Austria, where he will discuss personal terms, according to SkySports.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri insists that would like Kante to remain at the club but understand if the midfielder wants to leave the King Power stadium.
‘I don’t want to lose him. I don’t want to, but I could understand if he wants to go,’ Ranieri said.
Kante made 37 appearances last season as the Foxes went on to win their very first Premier League title in the history of the football club.
