Chelsea left back Baba Rahman looks set to join Bundesliga side Schalke on a season-long loan, according to reports.
The 22-year-old is currently undergoing a medical at Schalke ahead of his loan move to the German club, reports SkySports.
Rahman spent a season at German club Augsburg in August 2014 making 31 appearances before completing a move to the Blues on a five-year deal last season.
The Ghanian left back made a total of 23 appearances in all competitions during his debut season in the Premier League, mostly providing cover for first-choice left back Cesar Azpilicueta.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte who currently shaping his squad ahead of the new season has already allowed a number of younger players leave the club on loan, including the likes of Nathan Ake, Charly Musonda, and Lewis Baker.
Over the course of his career, Rahman has netted twice and created a further nine from 103 appearances playing for the likes of Ghanian Premier League side’s Dreams FC, Asante Kotoko, German side’s Greuther Furth Augsburg and Premier League Chelsea.
