The Uefa Referees Committee has announced Mark Clattenburg as the referee for the Euro 2016 final between France and Portugal at Stade De France on Sunday.
Refereeing at the finals will complete a remarkable seven weeks for the 41-year-old referee, during which he has officiated at the FA Cup and Champions League finals.
Clattenburg becomes the second man to take charge of both major European occasions in the same year after Pedro Proenca in 2012, reports Uefa website.
The Englishman’s has been an international referee since 2007, his CV also includes the 2012 Olympic men’s final and 2014 Uefa Super Cup.
He became the first English referee at a Euro final since Arthur Ellis (1960) and Arthur Holland (1964).
This will be his fourth appointment as refereeing at the Euro 2016 campaign following Belgium v Italy, Czech Republic v Croatia and Switzerland v Poland. He was also
