Manchester City left back Gael Clichy says he is delighted with his side’s progression to the next round of the Champions League.
The Blues played out to a 1-1 draw with Celtic in their final Group C match at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening
The 31-year-old says he is happy with his side’s progression in the European tournament but admits that they overcame a tough group.
‘We’re through so of course, we’re happy,’ Clichy told the Manchester City website, ‘But a team like us should expect more.
‘It was a tough group but the main objective was to get through. It was job done.
‘We’re through so now we can look forward to the next game and carry on the season.’
