Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says his side ‘played a fantastic game’ against Everton, but insists there is always room for improvement.
The Blues inflicted a five-goal hammering on the Toffees in their best performance since Conte took over at the beginning of the 2016-17 season.
The 47-year-old believes they can build on their impressive performance and continue to improve.
‘I think you can always improve,’ Conte told the Chelsea website.
‘I know we played a fantastic game and I’m pleased for my players. When you have this type of game you can continue to work very hard and show what we work on in the training session.’
The Blues are now second on the Premier League table after their fifth consecutive win without conceding. Conte, however, humbly suggested it’s not the time to start thinking about a title challenge.
‘It’s important to continue to work,’ he added. ‘For us, it was very important to win and win in this way, playing very well.
‘Now it is important to look at ourselves, not at the others and think we can do this or this. It’s important to improve and to work together. Then we can see in the future what happens.’
Chelsea will next travel to Riverside Stadium to take on Middlesbrough in the Premier League on 20 November.
Kick-off has been set for 18:00.
