Chelsea regained their place at the summit of the Premier League table following their 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.

The match got off to a cagey start in the opening exchanges of the match and the Baggies were award an early free-kick in the second minute after Salomon Randon was fouled outside the area.

Craig Dawson stepped up to take the kick and found Rondon who’s headed effort was saved by the Blues shot-stopper to keep the score plunge at 0-0.

In the 18th minute, West Brom came close to opening the scoring when Chris Burnt’s effort from outside the box went just wide of the post.

In the space of a minute both N’Golo Kante and Pedro had opportunities to broke the deadlock from outside the area but their efforts was guided narrowly wide of the target.

The Blues had another opportunity at goal when Eden Hazard was fouled, David Luiz stepped up to take the kick but his effort went high and wide of goal in the 31st minute.

Two minutes later and Chelsea had another go at goal when Hazard’s strike from outside the box went high and wide of the right post.

Five minutes before the half time interval, Luiz had another attempt at goal but his effort from outside the box was well saved by the West Brom shot-stopper, to keep the score goalless heading into the break.

The second half started off the same one as the first with both side’s committing fouls in the first five minutes.

Chelsea playmaker Hazard thought he put Luiz through on goal in the 50th minute but the Brazilian was judged to be offside.

Seven minutes later and West Brom were dealt a blow when Johnny Evans was brought down injured.

The Blues eventually managed to broke the deadlock in the 75th minute when Diego Costa’s effort from outside the box was guided into the top corner to make it 1-0.

West Brom had a chance to level matters in the match but Dawson blazed his effort high over the target in the 84th minute.

However, Antonio Conte’s side held on till the final whistle to collect all three points and extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League.
