Manchester City attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is confident that new signing Leroy Sane will become a success in the Premier League.
De Bruyne, who himself traded the Bundesliga for an opportunity to link-up with the Sky Blues, has spent just a season at the club following his big money move from Wolfsburg.
Now, the Belgian is confident he can help talented young attacker Sane flourish at the club following the starlet’s switch from Schalke.
‘Leroy Sane is a class player. I want him to shine with my assists,’ De Bruyne told Sport Bild. ”
”My aim is the title. To reach this it’s important we have new players like Sane or [Ilkay] Gundogan.’
Gundogan was new City boss Pep Guardiola’s first new signing at the club as the Spaniard looks to inject some energy into the City midfield.
Meanwhile, De Bruyne is also wary of the threat posed by City’s crosstown rivals, Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been busy in the transfer market themselves, with Jose Mourinho having added the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and new world record signing Paul Pogba to the side’s ranks.
‘Manchester United is strong again with Pogba and Ibrahimovic,’ De Bruyne admitted.
‘Players like these help the league. But I think Chelsea and Arsenal will be strong, too.’
De Bruyne made 40 appearances across all competitions last term claiming 12 goals and assists apiece.
