Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has urged his side to extend their run of victories into 2017 ahead of their Premier League clash against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Monday.
Jose Mourinho’s side recently claimed a late 2-1 comeback victory over Middlesbrough in the Premier League to extend their unbeaten run to five matches in the league.
The Spanish shot-stopper has revealed that the confidence is high in the United camp and he believes his side has what it take to overcome the Hammers at the London Stadium on Monday.
‘We believed in ourselves,’ De Gea told the Manchester United website.
‘This is the Manchester United that everyone knows – when you’re losing 1-0 with ten minutes to go and score two great goals and win the game.’
‘Of course [we can win any game], that’s what we want. We need to keep it this way, to keep winning. I think that is the key, and to try and play our best football.’
Kick-off has been set for 19:15.
