Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has edged closer to resuming his playing career by joining Brazilian outfit Corinthians, according to reports.
The Ivory Coast legend has reportedly agreed a 12-month contract to prolong his playing career after being offered $150,000-per-month.
‘I want to play,’ Drogba told Canal+.
‘I still have my legs and I’m still like a kid with the ball. My knee got a bit annoyed [last season] but I feel good.’
The 38-year-old left MLS side Montreal Impact at the end of the 2016 season but is intent on playing on and a move to Corinthians appears to be on if the club’s board gives the move the greenlight.
