Paco Alcacer has completed a medical with Barcelona ahead of his €30-million move to the Catalan giants from Valencia.
Barcelona manager Luis Enrique had identified the 22-year-old Spaniard as a priority signing for the side as they look to bolster their attacking options, while youngster Munir el Haddadi will head the other way on loan, reports Goal.
Despite boasting the likes of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez up front, Barca looked slightly light in matches where one or more of the trio were injured or otherwise unavailable.
The forward, who scored 13 times in 34 appearances last season, completed the medical on Monday morning as the confirmation of the deal draws ever closer.
Barca will allegedly pay an initial transfer fee of €30-million for the striker, with an additional €5-million in variables.
Barcelona have already signed the likes of Andre Santos from Valencia this transfer window, with the club not in a position to turn down big money offers for their players given their dire finances.
Meanwhile, Munir’s loan deal with the club will reportedly be announced as soon as Alcacer’s transfer is completed.
