Italy secure a 1-0 victory over Sweden in Euro 2016 action, with Eder scoring the all decisive goal in their second Group E encounter.

Inter Milan forward Eder scores late winner to book Italy a place in the knock-out phase of the Euro 2016 tournament.

According to SASoccermag’s Opta-powered match centre, Eder completed a total of 26 touches, while winning five out of eight duels.

In attack the Italian forward had two shots at goal, one coming from outside the box and the other from inside, producing the goal that sent Italy through to the next round.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old managed to complete a total of eight out of 12 passes, with 50% coming from the right, while 25% of them coming from down the middle.

Defensively the forward made one clearance and only conceded one foul against.

Although, the stats showed that Sweden continued to have the best of the possession (50.9%), Italy held on to win the match 1-0 at the final whistle.

The victory sees Italy remain at the top of Group E with six points, while Sweden are yet to register their first vwin in the Euro 2016 campaign.
