Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael says he was left frustrated after his side failed to convert their chances against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium on Sunday.
Rise and Shine had numerous opportunities to find the back of the net but failed to convert their chances in the final third and had to settle for a goalless draw with Phunya Sele Sele.
The 57-year-old says he is delighted to have kept a clean sheet but he believes that his side should’ve put the game to bed in the first half.
‘A positive is that we are leaving with a clean sheet, but after the first half I feel it should have been at minimum 2-0 to us – we created a lot of chances,’ Eymael said after the game.
‘And it’s difficult to win a game if you miss such chances.’
The Belgian tactician says he feels that collecting a point each is far better than walking away with no points at all.
‘We were well-organised and created one or two chances with long balls as we knew how they were playing with their good players and speedy wingers, but one point is better than nothing,’ he added.
Polokwane City will now take on Free State Stars when the two sides meet in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
The match at Peter Mokaba Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
