French trio Francis Coquelin, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny have committed their futures to the club by signing new long-term contracts.

Coquelin has become a crucial member of the Gunners midfield in recent seasons and has already made 131 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Giroud finished as the club’s top scorer during the 2015-16 after he scored 24 goals in all competitions and has continued his fine form this season by netting nine goals so far.

Meanwhile, Koscielny has established himself as one of Europe’s finest defenders since his arrival at the Emirates in 2010. The defender has made 273 appearances and netted 22 times in all competition.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is pleased that Coquelin, Giroud and Koscielny committed their futures to the club and has reserved special player for the French trio.

‘We are very pleased that three important members of our team have committed to us for the long term. Francis has made tremendous technical strides over the past few years because he’s so focused every day,’ Wenger told the Arsenal website.

‘Olivier has big experience in the game now and has become a more and more complete player since joining us. Laurent is of course, a key part of our squad and I believe one of the best defenders in the world today. So overall, this is great news for us.’

‘We would like to congratulate Francis, Olivier and Laurent on their new contracts.’

Arsenal will next travel to travel to the Liberty Stadium when they tackle Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Kick-off has been set for 17:00.
