Germany and Poland shared the spoils in a goalless draw in their second Euro 2016 Group C game in Paris on Thursday.
Heading into the match, Germany have won eight of their last 10 games at the Euros, with their only defeats coming in the final back in 2008 against Spain and the semi-final against Italy four years later.
While Poland are appearing at their third successive European Championship but have yet to make it past the group stages.
Poland defeated Germany in the qualifying round, their only win in 20 meetings between the two sides.
Germany got off on the front foot as Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil and Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller combined to feed Jonas Hector, who’s 22 yard attempt flew through a wall of bodies and wide of the post, with just six minutes played.
Poland looked to hit back immediately on the counter when Muller lost the ball as Krzysztof Maczynski tried to break into the German half but Muller redeemed himself as he made the interception to reclaim possession.
Germany continued to dominate possession without punishing the Polish defence. Ozil tried to get Hector in on the overlap but the ball rolled out of play for a goal kick.
The Polish showed their first sign of attack when Robert Lewandowski dispossed future clubmate Matt Hummels on the touchline and had a chance to back himself into the box to find Arkadiusz Milik, but the final ball let him down.
In the 18th minute Muller bullied Lukasz Piszczek off the ball, getting into the box and squared the ball towards the onrushing Toni Kroos, but he failed to direct his shot goalwards.
Lewandowski had a chance to put Poland into the lead when he wriggled his way into space on the edge of the box but
Benedikt Howedes reacted quickly to block his 23rd minute strike.
On the stroke of half time Sami Khedira failed to put Germany into the when his 30 yard volley fell wide of the mark.
Germany ended the first half on the front foot as the sides went into the break level.
The second half resumed with Kamil Grosicki founding space down the right and whipped in a brilliant ball to Milik, but he somehow managed to a flick the ball wide.
Germany retaliated with a shot of their own as Mario Gotze wriggled free of Glik and smashed his shot towards goal from 15 yards, but Lukasz Fabianski stood tall and punched it away.
Milik had another chance 13 minutes later but thrashed his shot into the side netting.
Poland were gaining in confidence as Lewandowski tried to get a shot away but Jerome Boateng sprinted back to deny the striker his chance at goal.
Germany started to gain their momentum back when Kroos tried his luck from 30 yards out, but saw his effort go narrowly over of the crossbar.
In the 71st minute, Ozil attempted to make the most of a German counterattack as he fired at goal from 22 yards out, forcing Fabianski into a flying save.
With six minutes left to play Poland were awarded a free kick, Grosicki stepped up to take the kick, but could only watch his effort fly over the bar.
Germany tried to get back into the match when Howedes worked his way into the box, only to lose the ball to Michal Pazdan in the 86th minute.
The draw left both teams on four points at the head of the table with Northern Ireland on three points after a win over Ukraine.
