Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will not be making a move to sign Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Guardiola was unveiled to the club’s fans on Sunday and was immediately put on the spot about an audacious bid for his most famous former player.
Messi, who has five Ballon d’Or titles to his name, is off limits according to the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich mentor.
‘He’s not a bad player this guy,’ joked Guardiola.
‘But, I’m sorry. Messi has to stay in Barcelona for the rest of his career. ‘
Messi has eight La Liga titles to his name along with four Champions League winner’s medals.
