Chelsea star Eden Hazard believes the arrival of Antonio Conte has rejuvenated the positive atmosphere at Stamford Bridge.
The wing has looked back to his best this season as he layed on an assist for countryman Michy Batshuayi in the Blues’ tie with Watford on Sunday, before a second late Diego Costa winner in succession bagged the side the three points.
‘The attitude is fantastic, even in training everyone wants to win games,’ Hazard told the club’s website. ‘That is why now we are winning.
‘It’s always difficult to come back when they score but we did great. We played a good second half and we scored two great goals – at the end I think we deserved to win.’
The Belgian stressted the importance of getting off to a good start in the Premier League and matching the pace set by title favourites Manchester United and Manchester City.
Meanwhile, new signing N’Golo Kante is also taken with the new manager.
‘We know the coach has his idea of football and he tries to teach it to us,’ Kante said. ‘We try to win all the games like he wants, he’s a good manager, he believes in his team and we try to give everything for him.’
Cheslea’s next fixture sees them come up against Bristol Rovers in the League Cup at the Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Kick-off is at 20:45.
