Former Arsenal hero Thierry Henry believes the Gunners will finish fourth in Premier League this term and is tipping Manchester City for the title.
Henry also expects Manchester United to finish as the runners-up this term and has predicted Chelsea to bounce back and claim third spot.
‘This is very hard to call,’ Henry to Sky Sports.
‘Chelsea don’t have any European competition to play, so that will be an advantage for them, but it might take them a little time to gel and adapt to what [Antonio] Conte wants.
The former striker admitted the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur could yet benefit from not having had to endure a change of manager.
‘It’s the same for [Jose] Mourinho at Man Utd. It’s the same at City with Guardiola too – so maybe there is a window for Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham – who have all had stability for longer.’
Henry admitted he will always support Arsenal with his heart but had to base his pick of Manchester City with his head.
‘My hope is always Arsenal. That’s a massive hope at the moment, but I think it will be between City and United. I have to go for someone so I will say City.
‘Guardiola has succeeded straight away wherever he has gone and I know how he’s going to ask those guys to play. If they understand what he wants they are going to be successful,’ he concluded.
Henry hit 228 goals in 377 games for Arsenal.
