Former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso believes Javier Hernandez would be a good signing for Bayern Munich.
Hernandez, who was let go by Manchester United, went on to net 26 times for Bayer Leverkusen last term. Given his goalscoring pedigree, Alonso is convinced he would fit in well at champions Bayern.
Hernandez has previously played under new Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti while at Real Madrid, which Alonso believes makes the manager accustomed to what Hernandez could do at the club.
‘Carlo Ancelotti knows him well from the year they spent together at Real Madrid, but these are questions for the directors,’ the Alonso told Univision.
‘Could he fit in at Bayern? With his quality, of without a doubt! But I see him at Leverkusen and he seems happy,’ Alonso concluded.
