Glenn Hoddle and Jurgen Klinsmann are the two bookies’ favourites to replace Roy Hodgson as manager of England.

Hoddle, a former England international and manager from 200-2003, has been out of the managerial game since leaving his post as first-team coach at Queens Park Rangers in February 2015 following Harry Redknapp’s resignation as manager.

Widely regarded as one of the most gifted English footballers of his generation, took England to the World Cup second round in 1998, where they lost to Argentina on penalties.

Listed alongside Hoddle as 6/1 favourites by South African bookmakers Sportingbet is USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann. Like Hoddle, Klinsmann played for Tottenham Hotspur during his career as a striker.

Klinsmann is nearing his fifth year in charge of the USA and most recently led the side to a Copa America semi-final which ended in defeat at the hands of Argentina.

The German also have experience in managing his home country as he took them to the last 4 when the country hosted the World Cup in 2006.
