‘I will be a god’ – Zlatan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has answered the words of Eric Cantona by boldly proclaiming he will be a ‘god’ at Manchester United.

The big Swede was welcomed to the club by the United legend in a video message a week ago.

‘I have a personal message for Zlatan: you decided to go Red. It is the best choice you ever made,’ Cantona began.

‘Just one last thing, there can only be one king in Manchester. You can be the prince if you want to be. The No.7 is yours if you are interested. That is my welcome gift to you … the king is gone! Long live the prince!’

Predictably not contented by his supposedly lesser status, Ibrahimovic as responded to Cantona’s jibe in typical fashion.
‘I heard what [Cantona] said and I congratulate him because I have always admired him,’ Ibrahimovic told Fifa.

‘But he should know that I will not be king of Manchester, I will be a god in Manchester.’

Ibrahimovic joined United following the conclusion of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, where he hit 38 league goals in 31 appearances last term.
