With three goals in two Premier League games so far for Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed his vision of title glory.
Despite concerns that the veteran Swede would struggle to adjust to the Premier League’s style of play, the striker has been in imposing form thus far, netting twice as the Red Devils eased to victory over Southampton on Saturday.
‘I believe that we can win the title, I have this vision,’ Ibrahimovic told the media, as reported by the Mirror.
‘But we need to work hard for it and we will do everything to bother all the other teams that want to win. Now I’m just focusing on trying to help my team win and after two games we have two wins, which is the most important thing.’
The striker insisted scoring goals was not his principle aim as he believes the outcome of matches is more important than individual numbers.
‘The season is long, I will work hard, the team will work hard and slowly we will get better and better so let’s see what the outcome will be,’ he added.
Manchester United’s next assignment sees the take on high-flying Hull City at the KC Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 18:30.
