Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi says he was struck by the desire to achieve success at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium forward completed a £33.2-million move to the Blues from Marseille during Euro 2016 and signed a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues finished 10th in the Premier League last season after a miserable campaign that saw Jose Mourinho lose his job as manager.

The 22-year-old believes that he is at a club that has the desire to win after linking up with his new teammates for the pre-season.

‘Just being at the training ground for one day I can see it’s very big and you feel you’ve joined a club that really want to win. Everything is new and that is exciting,’ Batshuayi told Chelsea magazine.

Batshuayi is excited by the prospect of playing under new manager Antonio Conte and says he has fulfilled a ‘childhood dream’ of moving to the club.

‘It’s a magnificent feeling. It feels fantastic to be here, it’s a childhood dream for me so I’m very happy,’ he added.

‘It’s a great opportunity. Conte is a manager who works very hard and likes people to work hard for him as well. I am very pleased to come and play for him here at Chelsea.’
