Juventus have announced their entire team have gone into isolation after two members of staff at the club tested positive for coronavirus.

The Serie A champions, who are due to host Napoli on Sunday, said those testing positive were ‘neither players nor members of the technical or medical staff” and that the isolation procedure would allow everyone else to “carry out regular training and match activities’.

The news comes after Napoli announced on Friday that midfielder Piotr Zielinski and staff member Giandomenico Costi had tested positive for Covid-19, and then on Saturday that the same applied to Elif Elmas.

A Juventus statement said: ‘Juventus Football Club announces that, during the checks provided for by the protocol in force, two staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

‘These are neither players nor members of the technical or medical staff, however, in compliance with the regulations and the protocol, the whole extended team, as of this moment, has gone into isolation.

‘This procedure will allow all members who tested negative to the controls to carry out regular training and match activities, but will not be allowed contact with outside the group.

‘The club is in constant contact with the competent health authorities.’
