According to a report, Arsenal and Chile forward Alexis Sanchez is the subject of a €30-million bid from Italian champions Juventus.
The Gunners have allegedly turned the initial offer down as the are unwilling to entertain the prospect of parting with the player, who arrived from Barcelona two seasons ago, reports Calciomercato.
The Chilean, on the other hand, is said to be keen to leave the club. With Arsenal having been linked to the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alexandre Lacazette and Alvaro Morata in recent months, any of the trio could arrive as a replacement for Sanchez should his sale be agreed.
The Chile international is alleged to have grown disillusioned by the lack of major silverware on offer at Arsenal, while the player believes Juventus boast a far better base.
Arsenal could be holding out for a fee closer to the €40-million mark should they acquiescence to the forward’s wish to leave.
Sanchez made 34 appearances for the Gunners last term, scoring 15 times.
