Manchester United have had a £85-million offer for Paul Pogba rebuffed by Juventus, according to a report.

Juventus are alleged to have received and subsequently turned down the offer on Tuesday, while Italian champions are rumoured to be willing to accept a world record transfer of £100 million for the French superstar, Sky Sports in Italy reports.

Juventus are said to have made peace with the idea of Pogba departing the club, but only if their asking price is met.

The initial Red Devils offer was allegedly made during a meeting between United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, and Juventus chief Giuseppe Marotta.

Pogba quit United back in 2012 having failed to negotiate a new deal having risen through the ranks of the club’s academy.

The Red Devils are currently on a pre-season tour of China which will see them take on Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City in friendly matches ahead of the 2016-17 season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not been included in the travelling squad, but new signings Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly are featured.

Pogba made 41 appearances for Juventus last term, scoring nine times and assisting a further 12.
