Toni Kroos has agreed to extend his contract with the Spanish giants and will remain at Real Madrid next season.
The 33-year-old midfielder’s previous contract was set to expire at the end of June, but he has now extended his stay for a 10th season with Madrid.
Since joining Real Madrid in 2014, when he had already won the World Cup with Germany, Kroos has won four Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles.
The veteran midfield duo of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, both 37, were expected to return to the Santiago Bernabeu for another season, as stated by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Last week, Madrid spent over 100 million euros ($108 million) to acquire English midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. Bellingham joins current Madrid midfielders Fede Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga.
