Leicester City have had a £25-million bid for Algerian forward Islam Slimani turned down by Sporting Lisbon, according to reports.
The Portuguese side have now rejected the bid and have stated that they want £34-million for the striker.
The Algeria international is keen on moving to the Premier League champions, who look set to sign his Sporting team-mate Adrien Silva, according to SkySports.
Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion are also monitoring the situation and may yet put in a bid for Slimani.
Over the course of his career, Slimani has scored 76 goals and assisted 20 from 166 appearances playing for the likes of JSM Cheraga, CR Belouizdad, and Sporting Lisbon.
On an international level, the 28-year-old has scored 23 goals from 43 appearances for Algeria since making his debut in 2012.
