Tottenham Hotspur are delighted to announce that French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has signed a new contract which keeps him at the club until 2022.
The French captain, who joined the club in August 2012 from Olympique Lyonnais, where he had three times been named Ligue 1’s Goalkeeper of the Year and was recently nominated for the Balon d’Or award.
Lloris has played a key role in helping Spurs develop a reputation for having one of the best defences in the Premier League and has already made 189 appearances in all competitions for the London side.
The Spurs captain proudly led France to the final of Euro 2016 this summer, having played 37 of 38 league games last season as we achieved our highest-ever Premier League finish and conceded just 35 goals, our best defensive record in the Premier League era.
