Manchester United booked their place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup with a 4-1 victory over West Ham United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils broke the deadlock after just two minutes when Zlatan Ibrahimovic lifted the ball over West Ham goalkeeper Adrian. West Ham then equalised through Ashley Fletcher, who latched on to David de Gea’s fumble from Dimitri Payet’s effort.

Anthony Martial put the home side ahead three minutes into the second half when he found the back of the net from 14 yards out before the Frenchman made it 3-1 after the hour mark from close range.

However, United all but sealed the victory when Ibrahimovic netted a stoppage-time goal for a semi-final spot, where they will face Hull City.
