Pitso Mosimane and Percy Tau were left frustrated as Ahly Ahly suffered their first defeat in the Egyptian Premier League with a 1-0 loss against Al Masry, watch the highlights here.

The Red Devils came into the game with a depleted squad but were still expected to pick up the three points with the strength in depth the poses.

Mosimane’s chargers were punished for a slow start as Haythem Ayouni rose highest to head past Mohamed El-Shenawy with just eight minutes played.

The home side nearly doubled their lead as Hassan Ali was slipped through on goal 10 minutes before the break but El-Shenawy was on hand to make a great save to deny the forward.

Ahly then looked to assert themselves on the game and despite dominating possession of the ball, they couldn’t create any clear-cut chances and ultimately suffered defeat.
