Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will step up his signing pursuit of Paris-Saint Germain right back Serge Aurier during the January transfer window.

Red Devils’ scouts reportedly watched the 23-year-old play in the Ivory Coast international friendly against France on Tuesday.

The Portuguese tactician has been using Antonio Valencia in the full-back position this season, but Aurier would be a natural replacement for the Ecuadorian.

Mourinho will be hoping he can land the right back for £18-million despite the Ivorian being contracted by Parc de Princes until the summer of 2019.
